Wattwise
Work out what each home appliance costs to run per month and per year.
Wattwise shows what the appliances in your home cost to run. List them once with their power and how long they are used, enter your electricity price, and you get the energy and the cost for each one and for the whole house.
YOUR APPLIANCES
- Power when on, hours per day, days per week and how many you have.
- Standby power for the rest of the time, so devices that are never really off are counted too.
- A library of 40 typical appliances, from the fridge and kettle to space heaters, dryers and chargers, to start from. Typical figures are a guide; the label on your own appliance is more exact.
THE RESULTS
- Cost and kWh per month and per year, for every appliance and in total.
- The list is sorted with the most expensive first, and a colored bar shows each appliance's share of the bill.
- The cost updates as you type while you edit an appliance.
YOUR TARIFF Enter your price per kWh with any currency symbol. If you have a cheaper night rate, switch it on, set the night price, and say what share of each appliance's use falls at night.
COMPARE A SWAP Thinking about replacing an old bulb, fridge or heater? Enter the old and new power, the hours of use and the price of the new one, and see the yearly saving and how many months it takes to pay for itself.
