Plan paint, wallpaper and tiles for each room, with the cans and rolls to buy.

Coatcount turns room measurements into a shopping list for decorating. Enter each room once, and it tells you how much paint, how many rolls of wallpaper and how many tiles you need.

ROOMS Add a room with its length, width and ceiling height, then its doors and windows. Their area is taken off the walls automatically, and the four walls are drawn to scale so you can check that the numbers look right. Include the ceiling with one switch. Plan up to 12 rooms in one project.

PAINT Choose one to four coats, enter the coverage printed on the tin, and add extra for absorbent surfaces such as new plaster or bare wood. Coatcount works out the liters and then the cans to buy, using the can sizes sold where you live, with as few cans as possible and little paint left over.

WALLPAPER Enter the roll width and length and the pattern repeat. Each drop is rounded up to whole repeats with room for trimming, then Coatcount counts the full drops you get from each roll and the rolls each room needs. Add a spare roll with one tap.

TILES Set the tile size, the joint width and the waste allowance for cuts. You get the number of tiles and, if you enter how many come in a box, the number of boxes.
