Brewratio works out how much coffee and water to use, then talks you through the brew one step at a time.

THE RATIO Pick a method and set your dose in grams, or the number of cups you want. Adjust the ratio in half steps from 1:1.5 to 1:20, and Brewratio shows the water in grams together with the grind and the water temperature for that method. Each method remembers its own ratio.

SIX METHODS Pour-over, French press, immersion dripper, moka pot, cold brew and espresso-style, each with a timed plan: when to bloom, when to pour and how far, when to stir or press.

A GUIDED TIMER Start the timer and follow along. You see the time to the next step, what to do now, and the number your scale should reach. A tall bar fills to each pour target as you go, and the phone gives a short vibration at every new step. Pause and resume whenever you need to; the timer keeps correct time even if you switch apps.

BREW LOG When the brew is done, give it one to five stars and a note about taste or grind, and save it. The log shows every brew with its dose, ratio and time, can be filtered by method, and keeps an average rating and ratio for each method.

TEA GUIDE Green, black, oolong, white and herbal tea: the water temperature, the grams of leaf for your pot size, and steep times for the first three infusions. Temperatures in Celsius or Fahrenheit.

Brewratio does not need an account or a connection. Your log stays on your phone and nothing leaves it.
